Yeah, they just bought it and tacked on some to the price I believe. That part sucks, but it is nice that they are at least offering one under the TRD name.

I think the antecedent of "part" was the price increase, not the actual differential.

 

it's that part of the whole deal.. "that"... where trd bought the rights and is offering it... and in doing so.. able to jack up the prices..

and of course trd isn't keeping it to themselves.. they bought the rights so they could make more money...

The extra $50-125 the part is going to cost will keep your warranty valid. Sounds like a good deal to me. Also - this is a powertrain part so I would assume it should be covered under my 100k warranty.
