Default a nice deep sound

so i wanted to know what are good setups for a nice deep rumble without any rasp. I wanted to go with the new megan racing oem fitment catback, or the precision muffler exhaust, but then i wanted some increase in hp and i'm pretty sure a header and s pipe would be far more effective. so i was wondering what kind of tone i would get with the alphaworks header, s pipe, and megan midpipe with stock muffler. would it be a perfect deep tone or is that axleback always necessary? thx

im sure it would sound nice..the megan has a huge resonator so youll be cool. if you dont mind me asking, why dont you want a muffler?

also i think the megan comes with a cat..im not sure but from the looks of it it sure does seem so.

heres my *future* set up

DC Sports headers(make the most torque)>megan racing s-pipe>megan racing midpipe>magnflow 4x9 oval muffler, and a heddman hedders 22" exhaust tip..dont ask how that will fit, just trust me on this one.

yeah, i want an axleback just not one that attract the cops or anything, my friend has a ep hatch and he has intake header, catback with a magnaflow axleback and it is the perfect tone, but it seems like an elimination of the rasp cannot be established on the tc besides the PM or sp2 exhaust, your setup sounds sweet though, how much is the custom going to cost you and how is the MR s pipe, i dont remember hearin to mcuh about it! thx

illegal? no but you might wanna know if anything happends with that car, you know the dealer is going to have a field day saying its that. But, if you mean noise wise.. As long as you dont sound like a blasting rocket launcher, the cops will wont even look at ya.

also with the headers..

I just have the Megan Racing Header, and the TRD Exhuast.. everyone thinks my car sounds sick as fluck.. I am not going to do anything else currently, only because I will be going larger once I get boosted.

If "sf" stands for San Francisco like I think it does, then yes, headers ARE illegal. California emmision laws suck hairy donkey *******.

He's right.
Makes it rough on us californians to modify cars, but when they are done and done right. They are top notch.

my set up will cost me roughly 300 bux..not to bad.

and do i prefer DC over AW..yes. but thats because i like the torque provided by the DC. if your looking for more HP AW is the way to go, but i want as much torque as i can pull from this engine.

as for the megan racing mid pipe, it is great quality and is about 200 bux, i can get it for way cheaper, but your not local, and shipping costs would amount to the same amount you could get it for. the whole megan racing system looks stock, and cops shouldn't bother you, and most likely you will not get rasp...and even if you do, itll be upwards of 5k so no worries.

and for the headers being illegal on the tC, nothing is illegal until you get caught
but honestly, there will never be a LEGAL header for the tC because whoever designed the car, decided to put the cat on the header, and every after market header does not include one there fore deleting the primary cat and making them illegal. Megan tried puttin a cat in there header in the V1 but the cat would always fall into the collector pipe, like is does on almost all aftermarker header that contain a cat..so no headers will ever be legal.
