Default nitrous express on a tc

im thinking about getting a nitrous express kit for my tc http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/CustomStage1.htm it would cost me about $725 installed

i was woundering if any one else is running one they seem to be one of the safest systems to run since they will only work at WOT plus there all wet kits so they will give better gains. Im only looking to run about a 50 shot i think tc tunerz is running like a 125 or some thing like that but i want to know if any one is daily driving a car with one of these kits if so how does it run with the nitrous and has it effected the normal driving of the car when the kit is off? also if you do have one of these kits are did you upgrade the exhasut system or buy a new intake for the nitrous to be injected in to like the k&n or weapon r. my goal with this car is to be able to keep up with my friends grand prix gtp so i need all the input i can get to know if this is worth it.

please dont say any thing about this being a dumb idea becouse of nitrous being unsafe or any thing like that

Install it yourself... It's not hard at all. If you can't install it, I don't see how you could deal with it if it fubars your car.

go with zex it is much easier to maintain I have installed quite a few of them from hondas to mercedes and they work great and work off the throttle position wire.....no stupid micro switches to try to mount....

the plugs only make a difference if you have a turbo or supercharger pushing over 8 psi

If your goal is too keep up with your friends GTP, I wouldn't go the nitrous route, especially when there are so many other things to do. It seems like you just want a quick boost for the cheapest amount of money but I have a friend who had done this and ended up refilling his bottle almost once a week. I would save up and get the TRD s/c, scion speed turbo stage 1, or even greddy's when it comes out. You'll be happier in the long run.

Just get I/H/E, it'll cost a tad bit more than your bottle, but it'll be a mod that is always on, and will have very little effect on fuel efficiency.

As for the spark plugs, you could got one heat range colder if your going to the track just for your runs on the bottle, you can also trim the groundstraps down to reduce the chance of pre-ignition leading to detonation.
Also check to make sure your fuel pump id upto the task, does anyone know how many lph our pumps flow?

Doesn't nitress express use two or three safety switches? An oil pressure switch and fuel pressure switch. I know they warrenty their solenoids. I would use them

The tC with the 125 shot wasn't the tCtunerz car, it was ours. It was a nitrous express kit which is pretty much all we use. They make a quality product.

Nitrous is an easy way to make power. I would venture to say that a lot if not most people are scared of it because they hear stories about other peoples cars blowing up. The thing is, if you educate yourself, and use it properly. Nitrous can be completely safe.

Every company that puts out a kit makes a guide that I suggest everyone read that covers a lot of the basics. There are a plethera of shops out there that could answer any other questions that one might have. Or you could always call the manufacturer direct.

The ground strap is the L-Shapes piece over the electrode, this can heat up through the combustion process. By shortening the strap, you can reduce a pre-ingnition propagating hot-spot.
