Default No acceleration from a stop, while passing??

Lately I haven't been getting any acceleration from a stop or while passing someone. It doesn't happen every time, but it does happeb most of the time. It sounds like I'm accelerating, but it feels like I'm driving through mud and then all of a sudden pulls like hell and takes off. No CEL and I haven't missed anything in a long time. I have a sri and catback and my cars an 06 automatic. Any ideas?

transmission problem? if there's no CEL then I doubt it has anything to do with the engine...

Trans is what I thought too, but it still shifts as smooth as ever. Guy at auto zone thought it could be the speed sensor....

Never thought about the torque converter either.... I'm gonna take it in Friday if I can't figure it out and Friday was gonna be my turbo install day.

Got it fixed. A buddy of mine was behind me and said when I took off, he could smell sunburned fuel so something wasn't sparking. Two of the spark plug coils/wires were so loose that I could pull them straight out. The thing I can't figure out is that the threads in the head were stripped with shavings being stuck on the bolts. It was like this on a third one too but it was still somewhat tight. So I bought longer bolts and it fixed the delay, but I could still smell unburned fuel and it was quite strong, so I swapped the plugs and its all good now.
