Default NST DOES SOMETHIN ELSE!!!

http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pShiftNSTbushings.htm

thats right, Non Stop Tuning has their shifter bushings available!!

these are made out of stainless steel (please note that the pic shows that they are black, mike has informed me that the actual bushing will be silver not black!)

anyone who has purchased/used NST products know that they are awesome products! so lets all support NST and get their new shifter bushings!

i purchased them 10 min ago even tho i already have another companies bushings (i will support NST any way i can, and for the price why not )

as listed on the website:

OEM rubber bushings found in many sport compacts today are intended to isolate the shifter from engine vibration. While they accomplish this, they also make the shifting action vague and rubbery. These shifter cable bushings are often soft, spongy rubber units that over time become worn, leading to shifter movement and miss-shifts.

NonStopTuning shifter cable bushing kits eliminate this numbness by replacing factory rubber bushings with carefully crafted stainless steel components. Precision engineered to remove all flexing common to rubber bushings, giving the driver full control over the shifter and transmission.

NST bushings are compatible with OEM shifters as well as aftermarket shifter kits.

BENEFITS:
Manual Transmission Shifter Bushing Kit
Firm Feel, More Precise Shifting,
Custom Appearance

I love little things like this that make a noticable difference. I'll be sure to pick one up when I get my short shifter.

Where are these bushings located on the shifter?

4 bolts on the shifter assembly that hold it down.... the bushings are what the bolts go thru.

I just go the creative compacts short shifter, and I think it may have came with bushings. I never installed them with the shifter though. I dont know if thats a good or bad thing.

Are these the same thing?
Do they raise the height of the shifter?

Another great item from NST And yes, these are the bushings that go under the hood where the shifter cables attach to the transmission.

the bushings are simple to put in takes about 10-15 min to do, take the stock bushings out, put new ones in and secure with cotter pins although you may have to take your intake out, i didnt when installed my other bushings (yes i will be purchasing the NST bushings even tho i already have AM bushings, just goes to show how awesome NST products are :D )
