O2 injection...
I had a thought...
I want to stay away from NoS cuz of it's danger and illegilality...
But, since pure oxygen is highly flammable...would setting up an injection system using pure oxygen instead of NoS still get an increase in power??
just a thought...it'd be cheaper than NoS too...

Heres the deal with N20, otherwise known as NOS(which is actually a manufacturer of Nitrous Oxide). N2O is not a flamable gas in its independent state. Our atmosphere contains roughly 23% oxygen; respectivly, N20 contains about 36% oxygen. N2O is a much more dense gas than our atmosphere at a given temperature/pressure, allowing for this greater amount of oxygen. So here is what I am getting at; instead of force feeding your engine air(turbo/supercharger) which increases the pressure (boost) of which the air is used in the combustion chamber, you can give it a shot of nitrous(many ways avaliable) causing a similar reaction.
Pure oxygen would simply cause such a powerful explosion, your motor would not be able to control it. That is why N2O is a safer bet.
Sunday morning, I will run to the neighbors house and gank their O2 tank, jimmy rig it, and drive the car. I will take pictures of what is left!!

Uhm, anyway. The easiest way to get busted for having Nitrous in your car--even if the bottles are nearly empty, and not connected in any way to your engine--is for transporting Hazardous Materials. Pure oxygen is one of these. If you don't have a Haz-Mat certification on your license, I wouldn't suggest putting either in your trunk anytime soon.
I was playing around with an old homelite motor and a cutting torch a year or so ago. when I blew pure 02 in the carb it would just stall. If I put the choke on (more fuel) and gave it some 02 the thing ran like a *****.. untill it exploded. sure 02 will make a motor run hard. but you have to manage a/f and all that. that's why there is n20, it's basicly a carrier for the oxygen.
If you did something like that you need to be extreamly carefull. IT will cause you to run lean and when you run lean the gases burn hotter. It might acutally cause you to burn a hole in your piston.
yeah....the way n2o actually works is the same concept as a cold air induction.....the n20 comes from the bottle at wicked cold temps....and as we all know...colder air is more oxygen dense. so when you shoot your n2o into the air intake, you get a concentration of oxygen at a higher ratio to the other gasses inthe air therefore causing more burn. If you ran a very small amount of n2o constantly or variable with engine RPM's then you'd get the same product as a cold air intake system.
I'd say if you have a bottle of O2 in your car is much more dangerous than having a bottle of N2O. Pure O2 with enough fuel will cause such violence combustion, if not manage properly, will easily fried your engine like a piece of meat. Let's not forget the purpose of Nos is to produce more O2 for internal combustion. In contrast, N2O is much safer because the O2 content is lower and thus easier to manage and control the dosage. Imagine what may have if one has accident and the oxygen bottle is punctured? If Nos is dangerous in this situation, pure O2 will make it worse.
PS. Oxygen is NON-FLAMMABLE, it will facilitate combustion, that's all.

What if you inject O2 into the engine at very low dosages??
staying in the safe zone, while increasing the power of combustion??
let's not forget, the reason I'm asking, is because I don't this...
