Hey guy i have an 06 tC 5 speed with about 8300 some odd miles on it and i don't drice too hard, moderate speed, 20 miles a day highway driving for school once in a while i like to get on it and chirp 1st to 2nd every once in a while when i feel like showing off umm but lately i've been hearing this odd squeak as i drive coming from my car i believe its from the clutch b/c when i tap the clucth barely the squeak stops i hear it in all gears generally above 2k rpm's and also when i sit at idle and i fully press the clutch i hear a loud like kind of sounding like a mouse so my question is 1. what do you guys think it is? 2. if its like a clutch pin or something is that warranteed? 3. should i consider buying a diff clutch? and 4. is there any way i can fix this myself? answer are much appreciated thanks in advance

 

so i guess knowone else has experienced this problem? or has an idea of what i can do?

 

I've recently had this problem...but it goes away after a while when the car is warm but it still squeaks but not as loud. I have 40k on my and it recently started making that noise at 39k. So I dunno what's wrong but car seems fine, might just take it to my shop to get it looked at. But yea take it into the dealership since I'm pretty sure it's still under warranty.

 

same here it comes and goes all by itself. I have 91000 miles on my tC.

 

Mine does it too. I've got 35,500 miles. It comes and goes, I don't think it's anything to worry about....it is kinda annoying though.

 

i get a squeeking noise like that too. but not when i press the clutch. i get it when i press the gas. i took it to the dealer and they told me it was a air going into the intake as i pressed the gas. whenever i press the gas, especially when driving at speed, it would make that squeeking noise. it made sense to me so i was satisfied. please let me know if that may be wrong though.

my car has 11000 miles on it.

 

A squeek or a whistle? Everyone's tC whistles, it comes from the thottle body at partial throttle tip in.

 

i guess it could be considered a whistle. i dont get it all the time though.

 

thanks guys the only thing i'm concerned about is that you guys are all getting this problme at 30k+ miles i haven't hit 10,000 yet....but w/e if you guys say your car is fine then it should be ok...if the clutch dies uhh time to buy and stage 2 clutch lol
