Default odd engine behavior

Well first let me start with what mods i currently have and have had.

I'm now simply running an alphawerks header, Invidia S-pipe and Tsudo catback exhaust.

I had at one point a WR SRI, a bobo ebay CAI and a WR ignition coil pack stabiwatever.

i removed the intakes for their short comings and the ignition stabiwutever because it was silly...

moving on my car is at 22K miles and back on the stock air box, it seems that when i accelerate smoothly or even when i just jam the throttle the car will rev up and accelerate fine BUT around 35 to 4K rpms the car skips a beat...just like that, its like the engine stops for split second and the car stops pulling for that tiny millisecond then all goes back to normal...

weird the car idles fine and accelerates fine till that split second fault then back to normal, the power curve and delivery is all normal except for that hiccup.AND i don't mean that "i'm low on gas so the fuel pump is dry heaving" while it does feel similar to that it last for only a millisecond unlike the whole low on gas thing.

I'm sorry to explain this in such a juvenile way BUT i really can't seem to find better words to explain it.
I don't want to say that it feels as if a cylinder is misfiring because i don't know, i don't want to say its as if the engine is knocking because i don't know.

there are no CEL's of any kind showing up, any onfo would be apreciated.

it happens so fast on mine that IF(i have not paid attention) the rpms drop it would be the needle simply "pausing" for a split second on its steady climb.
Hmm...

did you reset the ecu after changing the intakes? could be your ecu adjusting to the change in signals from the maf.

I really can't figure it out, i did reset the ecu after i switched back to the stock box.

i thought it might be bad gas(no puns please) or maybe its slight back firing from the lack of cats.

I wanna say that it may be a cylinder misfire but would some thing like that be so slight? plus no CEL

some times i wonder if its a timing dump by the ecu, i have heard of fully stock TC having this happen with out a CEL,
could i have a leak some where in the intake track and the car is pulling timing from a slight lean condition?

try checking the stock air box to make sure everything is hooked up correctly. when i went back to stock air box my car had a little lag between those rpms also and idled fine. i found out that i didnt connect end part (where it goes into the fender hole) all they way and there was a gap so my car had a little lag.
