Odd rattle in front end
So after hours of searching, i'm down to asking everyone about this. I have an odd rattle coming from my front end (mostly the left front)in my tC during moderate acceleration. I checked the cat heat shield and it all seems to be tight. Could it possibly be a blown axel or maybe even my tranny? Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks
i honestly doubt it has anything to do with the intake. its more of a metalic clicking noise that only happens when the car is in gear accelerating. if i just sit there and rev it, i dont get the sound. nor do i get it if i shut the car off and coast. its pretty frustrating...
i have a similar rattling problem... but for me it only does so right under 1k rpm... whether im in neutral or in gear. im thinking its coming from the header or possibly the downpipe, as vibrations may be caused only at a certain rpm. ive been convinced its some part of the exhaust so i havent looked much into it nor have i cared to have it fixed. its been rattling for about two years now... no problems really :?
well let us know if you ever find out what it is... im quite curious

Does this happen through all gears or just 1 or 2? 5 speed manual or AT? Need more info. If it's 5spd, and rattles when u accelerate and NOT in netural, throwout bearings on tranny. try accelerating and then press in clutch and move to netural. if noise goes away while coasting, throwout bearings. (i think that's right....)
