Default oem fuel injectors

hi guys. just out of curiosity, how often should the fuel injectors be cleaned and how should i go about cleaning them? could the motor start rattling due to a non-smooth flow of fuel?

anything else besides seafoam? what do you do with seafoam anyway, put an entire bottle in the fuel tank?

Injectors don't tend to get that dirty and plugged up anymore, though it does happen. Running cleaners through the system isn't really necessary IMO, especially every 10K, but it shouldn't hurt anything.
Seafoam is good stuff however, and does a good job of cleaning your intake manifold if you run it through a vacuum line.

The "best" way is to remove them and have them cleaned off the car.
The second best way is to disable the fuel pump and run a concentrated cleaner directly through the fuel line.
The third best way is to run a diluted cleaner from the gas tank.

But yes, you would put the entire bottle in the gas tank to clean the injectors.
When I use it I don't bother with the gas tank, and I wouldn't recommend it in the engine oil [the directions say to use a third in each], I run the entire thing through the intake.

Normally you would send them somewhere to be cleaned, like witchhunter.
They hook the injectors up to a machine that helps internally as well as externally clean.

If you want to do it yourself there's not too much you can do other than soak them in cleaner. Seafoam should work well, alcohol might, though I'm not sure what it would do to the plastic.
We use it to clean the carbon off rifles sometimes.
I guess if you really wanted to get into it you could hook up 12V to the inj and pulse it on/off to get some fluid inside of it.

That I can't tell you, you'll have to call the company and ask them.

Do a google search for fuel injector cleaning.
