oil in coolant
story: the other day i was getting the routine oil change and as the hood is being closed i noticed the coolant looked a little darker in color.
Next day i open the hood and look in the resavoir tank and i look into it and its dark blackish looking....i freak out cause im like it should not be that color.
so then i go to toyota and buy 2 gallons of the pink coolant ($30 each!!) head over to the mechanic and get a coolant flush. he brings me over is like did someone put like oil or power steering fluid in your tank....im like no not to my knowledge......now i get my oil changes done in a little personal small shop and i usually talk to the mechanic as he does the oil change so i knew it wasnt that.....
well the mechanic takes the coolant tank out cleans it best he can and finishes the flush and YAY!! it looks pink again....
when i went home i search on the forum and no topic on it and then i googled it and saw some people were getting a "sludge" in there coolant and then i started to see broken head gasket or cracked cylinder......and im sweating bullets now cause im like eff im gonna have to spend buku dollars now.....
but as i keep reading i saw that some were saying that they had added water wetter to there coolant....and i thought back and i did the same at the beggining of the summer (i live in az now) and they were saying that sometimes the 50/50 coolant already have the additives that water wetter have already is in some coolant and can build sludge and slime and look oily and float on the top of the coolant tank.....feww this did calm me a little....
none the less i let the car run opened the oil cap and try to look for signs of foamy oil ...none.....check the coolant....didnt look oily...but ill be keeping my eye on this......let you guys know if something comes up..
if anyone has any helpful suggestion for other signs to look for...i would appreciate it and take it into consideration

Change the oil first and that will tell you a bit more. If there really was oil in the coolant and it wasn't just dirty then there should be some coolant in the oil. Was your coolant level going down at all?
Flushing your coolant/changing your oil is also a pretty easy DIY job.

the toyota pink coolant is already premixed. no need to add anything to it. as for ur issue, are u puffing any kinda smoke outta the exhaust at all? that would def be a tell tale sign that ur head gasket has crapped out. drain ur oil and check for any signs of coolant as well. also have u noticed any change in ur temp needle or driveability?
