Default Overbored Throttle body Resurrection thread

Ok, after a vigorous search, I found a post by dezod about custom throttle bodies. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=100679. I want to know if you guys are still up to the task of doing these and if at all possible an aftermarket intake manifold. A few months ago I spoke with AEBS about the manifold they made for Jotech and they had no interest in selling them, the basterds (they ain't getting my money then). I would be highly interested in a TB and manifold combo. I'm sure others are too.

I second that ^^

One thing that ive been wondering is why not alot of N/A mods are out for the TC.

ZPI carries the heads and stuff but then again we havent really seen anybody with this product or not even dyno

Just wondering if any companies out there are making something for the N/A beside I/H/E

Thanks.

If dezod ( i know they are busy as hell because they show us all that they are doing) came out with more products you would see more people getting them. ......it all depends on the cost and whos making the product. Plus - our engines can hold 300hp ....which is 100hp more then what I have now. SO - ask yourself how many people have the need for such products at such high cost? The normal guy cant take his engine apart and start changing parts (thats one of the main reasons why you dont see many).

I just looked at that post and 24hp ...not bad. Sounds like it might be a good mod. Hopefully dezod sees the post and can comment on it.

I sent them in a TB and they are going to make a prototype and test it out. They have been really busy in their shop and hadn't had a chance to do this yet but within the next few months. I am going to dyno before the install and after so eveyone can see the diffrence.

Intake, Throttle Body, Intake Manifold, P&P Head, Header, S-Pipe, Mid-Pipe, Axle Back, High Comp Pistons, Cams, Pulleys... A list I think any N/A guys thinks of. Were not to far off, most all those parts are made already. All those parts combined put us well over 200(N/A)whp.

That might help you in conjuction with a Port and Polish in the Head, since.. whats the point of using a bigger throttle and don't be able to take that air completly into the combustion chamber?

I believe the head will flow a lot more tan the stock throttle body will allow. So a bigger throttle body will help to a point.

Alphawerks is supposedly working on them. Look at their website, and yes that would help a lot.
