Default Oxygen Sensor for $40 ??

Hey guys,

My CEL light came on so i took it to a local shop. The guy at the shop told me its 1 of 3 things

- gas leak from exhaust pipe
- catylitic converter
- oxygen sensor

he said that its most likely the oxygen sensor. He wanted to charge me $260 for a new one installed.

I did some research and TRD Sparks has it for about $160 and autozone has it for about $180. HOWEVER... i found some online as cheap as $40!

here's the link:

THe question is. Is it worth buying one of these sensors? Will it last as long?

These sensors dont have connectors, they come with 4 wires, 3 wires, 2 wires, or 1 wire. I'm assuming i need the one with 4 wires??

Let me know if you think its worth getting one of these.

Thanks

Greg

What exactly is the fault code that caused your CEL? Once you know that you can research it in the tech section.

Never troubleshoot a CEL without knowing the code(s) that tripped it ...

go to autozone and have them scan the code, and post it up cause those three things wold give you three different codes.
