Default p-tuning axle back Idle noise

After installing the p-tuning axle back on my 06 tC I'm getting a tapping noise/vibration coming from what i swear is right under the arm rest. This happens only at idle even after warmed up. When moving at any speed the noise goes away. Does anyone else with the P-tuning axle back have the same issue? (this is the 3inch can axle back)

I might be way off too any thoughts on what can make noise right under there. I'd put the car in the air, but with the negative temp and snow here in Colorado its not that easy.

Hello Stitches,

The PTUNING axle-back only replace the rear muffler section. So, if you are hearing noise underneath the arm rest then it could be that when u installed the new axle-back, you may have altered something on the midpipe causing it to hit the undercarriage.

Also, if you wish, please email us an install picture, we may be able to diagnose the problem for you.

Regards,
Mike @ PTUNING

Did you happen to have a solution for it? Do I need to make an adjustment to the S pipe?

whenever i have annoying tapping issues on exhaust/intercooler pipes, i just find the contact spot and wrap it in a bit of heat wrap. fixed all my clings and clangs!

yessir... not sure what turbo kit you have, I myself have the ZPI. I actually had to take a grinder and shave a notch in the crossmember.
