Parts of the exhaust system...help with new scion!
Hello all. I just bought an 07 Scion TC. I've ordered a few parts for it, since that sounded like fun. Since I lack the garage resources and tools to put the parts on myself (for now) and I don't want to void my warranty, I'll probably have the dealer throw them on. So far I have ordered an AEM V2 intake, a generic (it appears to be an exact clone of the DC Sports 4-2-1 header only chrome instead of ceramic, anyone know if these are okay?) 4-2-1 header that I got on ebay for $160 shipped, and I saw such a good deal on the Tsudo axleback exhaust that I ordered it for $150 shipped (hooray for speed element motorsports).
Can anyone detail to me every single part that is between the engine's exhaust output and the exhaust tip? I'm trying to make sure I have all the parts accounted for. There are headers, an s-pipe/downpipe, some long piping in between that I know little about, and then finally the "axleback" part that contains the muffler and exhaust tip. Does one benefit from replacing that segment in between the s-pipe and the axleback? This part seems quite straight, would an aftermarket part here be larger in diameter, how would it improve performance.
If anyone here that's experienced would like to give a sermon about Scion TC exhaust setups, please bless me with your knowledge.

Here's the header for you to evaluate. It appears to be physically identical to the DC Sports one, just they're not charging you for the r&d.

having the dealer install it won't do anything different than if you installed it yourself or brought it to a local. from what i can tell they won't warrantee the actual product but only the installation. I recommend learning how to do it yourself and just do it. if you don't have tools you can buy some and still save money, shops and dealers charge A LOT for labor. plus, once you buy tools, you won't have to again, and tools are something every man should own.
here's a good read in case you have questions regarding your warranty:

as for your question, the stock mid pipe has a secondary cat, aftermarket ones delete this to help free up a little more.
