Default PCV Thread Sealant...

Hi,

When installing the threaded PCV valve ("Ventilation Valve" according to Toyota), in your 2AZ-FE, what thread sealant do you use? Can't remember the type they specify, so a more common, easy to get brand equivalent would be appreciated if you know of one.

Also, I think final torque is 14 ft/lbs as I remember.

have to bump this.. anyone know?

the service manual calls for Three Bond 1324, but that stuff is rare and expensive. Anyone know what loctite that might be equal to?? any help is appreciated!!

Default pcv valve thread....

i just use plain old teflon but in paste (tube) form. works fine.
