my obx header came with the s-pipe.....

 

the cover was 65 shipped cuz i wanted it powdercoated...pm nd4spd_4_a_tc for more info.

Some sellers are jerks and sell the OBX as two pieces. If you see a seller doing this contact OBX and they will stop selling to that dealer.

Only in the regards that it comes with 2 pieces. Design is totally different.

OBX is 4-1

MMW is 4-2-1

I went to ebay and bought an OBX header with the S-pipe because of this thread. Thanks and let me know how you like after driving with it for a while.

 

If it's like my HPR header, which I believe it's the same damn thing minus the S pipe, it's great. I have the draxas s pipe and mid pipe as well and a full exhaust and the header definately shows what's it supposed to do at about 4500-5000 rpm. distinct pick up and distinct noise coming from the engine. Seems like it's going to jump out of the engine bay. ....well.....exagerating a bit

you will like the OBX Header and S-pipe!! just like web said...you'll feel it kick in at about 4500-5000 rpms. Of course your gonna get some rasp but i dont know if u have changed out ur exhaust yet or not, but nothing a resonator can fix. I have the TRD axle-back and stock mid pipe and I get some rasp...I'll upload a vid so u can hear how it sounds soon. Im gonna get the megan midpipe and add a magnaflow performace cat and see how that sounds. Make sure u get the antifouler mod from ebay too. thats where i got it from, and put it on the s-pipe before installing it on the car and u will not get a CEL at all!!! The header is great and I have had no problems whats-so-ever with it!! Let us know when u get it!!!

 

My exhaust setup has no rasp at all.

HPR header, draxas s pipe (w/ antifouler ), draxas midpipe, 14" morosso spiral flow race muffler/resonator, spintech muffler

Very unique sound and very aggressive when i'm getting on it. Nice and quiet driving and idle.

 

I have the TRD muffler from the dealer, so hopefully it wont be too bad. I plan on getting custom piping from the s-pipe to the muffler but we'll see how it sounds so I know if i need the resinator.

 

You will. You'll need at least 20-25 inches of resonating pipe.

 

Ok, anitfouler is in the mail as well as the headers. Where can I get the resonating pipe and how much will it run me?

 

Resonator will run about 40-60$. Check Jegs or do a random search on google for resonator. Vibrant has a few also. I have the morosso spiral flow race muffler/resonator. It's listed as a race muffler, but has a straight through center with spiral baffles. Allows you to keep backpressure and eliminate noise.

 

Do you have the as well as a muffle or do you just use that? Where did you buys yours from?
