Default Polishing My Header

I have the Alphawerks header and have a few of the purple colored marks from my fingers and a dull spot. I want to polish this thing up like the rest of it but not sure what to do? It's t-304 stainless steel as most know. Any help? Thanks

Im not sure what the best choice is but I know in my experience chrome polish didnt work and I highly doubt goo-gone will do anything at all. If you have a custom motorcycle/Harley/chopper shop nearby see what they would recommend. Lots of custom bikes use SS pipes and Im sure theres something out there that will work.

Try some never dull...if that doesnt work try some stuff called CLR. I remember my dad using the CLR back in the day on his bike. I use the never dull on my pipe on my bike and it works really nice. I think the never dull will work.

I had the same problem and a lot of marks. I had to use 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sand it, then I went back over it with my dremel and finished polishing the runners.

hey my friend has alphawerks headers and the colors are nasty, its like blotches all over too, i was wondering if i can just get a blow torch and put it close to the headers to try and change the color. will it work? or will it make the headers black.

I think toyota's idea is the only thing that will work.... you'll have to sand/polish them to get them back to that look...
