After reading the "Pulley Owners Standup" thread...

I am interested in maybe getting some...or One?

Should I just get the "underdrive pulley"??....or which one should I get?

All I have is an Intake & Axle-back exhaust....

NOT planning on a Car Sys. either just want more GO!!

How difficult is it for someone that has Never done any engine work before in trying to Install a Pulley???....

Thanks to anyone that Helps!!

you probably just want a crank pulley then. check w/ zpi, they sell it as a single unit.

install is pretty straight forward, there is a nice DIY here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...asc&highlight=

just need a friend to loosen the tenion belt with a wrench while you pop the stock pulley off, very simple

the hard part will be taking the bolt off the stock pulley, it wont come off with normal hand tools.

Get the underdrive pulley from NST and you will love it. Great performance, hard anodized, and the best price.

I've had mine for more than two years now with no problems. Installation took about an hour the first time I tried and it wasn't very hard. There is a DIY if you search for it.

if you're going to stay n/a or get a turbo, get the NST underdrive. the CR-lite is more for s/c'd ppl. if you're really looking to get the most bang for buck on the crank pulley, then get the underdrive. back when i was i/h/e only i raced another auto tc with i/h/e and he had the underdrive pulley. pulled a cars length or so after 2nd gear.

i just installed my injen cai and AP lightweight crank pulley
i was skeptical at first of any gains from the pulley...but i can definitely feel a difference
the car pulls much harder. i read the install requires air tools so i just paid $80 to have it professionally installed.

n/a means naturally aspirated meaning you're not planning on getting a turbo or supercharger. i/h/e means intake, header, and exhaust

On the link you attached, did you buy all 3 components or just the crank pulley? Did you have to switch out belts or anything else?

You can buy just the crank, all three, or every piece individually if you want. If you get the underdrive pulley you will need a new size belt

How much would a new belt run and is the power gains just from the underdrive crank?

Im sure how much a new belt costs but I do know that the biggest power gain comes from the crank pulley. No one has tested just the alternator or water pulley to see what there impact is

ive been getting my belts from rockauto.com - I just ordered a second one (cause im changing my setup soon) for $38 with rush 3day shipping. Belts range from $30-60 depending on the store and cost you live on. $38 for the east coast is kick ___. I almost fell over when I went to autozone and the belt was around $60. I remember walking out ...going to that webpage ....and ordering one for about the same 38 price and was happy. Just get the gates belts - im not sure which you would need but gates makes a good belt.
