Default pullies...a few questions.

ive been looking at underdrive pullies and i notice that nonstoptuning (nst) also has alternator and water pump pullies. Does anyone know what the benifits of the water pump pully is? Also, im curious to find out how the alternator pulley increases that alternator output.

The WaterPump Pulley is significantly lighter... along with the overdriven alternator pulley... which, spins the alternator faster, as the underdrive crank takes power from the other accessories... so you don't have to worry, if you have a large electrical draw on your system.

There you go!

^^ That is correct. The NST pulleys are truely the way to go. You get a nice amount of weight reduction as well as some underdrive from the crank pulley. Basically the crank pulley will slow down the accessories a little bit so that more power can be sent to the wheels.

The Alternator pulley is designed to spin the alternator faster than normal, this means the alternator will charge at a lower RPM than it would otherwise. Charging the alternator at a lower RPM means more power from the alternator when you are sitting at ilde or at low RPMs.

but will this burn your electrical system in your car (such as radios, ecu, etc.) ???

No it will not! 20% overdrive is within the range of the alternator's ability. Now if it was like 40% or more then you would be concerned.

Depends on if you just want crank, or water and alternator as well... I wouldn't run the overdrive alternator without the underdrive crank... as there's no real reason to raise the charge if you have a stock crank...

Check out my NST pulley install thread in the FAQ section and you can give that to the shop if they need any help! LoL

If you get a good shop... It'll take them around 2 hours labor to do all three... which is around 15o or so.

okie. i plan on running all three. atm im running a 1800rms(ish) setup, however i plan on adding an additional 1500rms(ish) to it, so ill need the underdrive pully (yea i know ill need to respool/swap alternators at some point)
