Default Quality motor mounts for DD

Hey all

I have a 2007 tC with about 115k on it. My motor mounts have been shot since around 80k and it's getting worse (especially my rear mount between engine and firewall).
I've seen various aftermarket mounts with stiffer rubber/poly but I'm worried about vibration increasing. This is my DD, I don't race it or anything crazy I just want a quality, long lasting mount, it seems the OEM ones didn't hold up well.
Any recommendations or is my best bet another set of OEM?

For a daily driver, the OEM is still the best regarding vibration. I have the Energy suspension engine mount insert set. It is not terrible, but will still give noticeably more vibration than stock, especially when the A/C compressor is running. It's definitely a trade-off. I will say that when I had replaced just the front mount with poly, the vibrations were bad. Changing out to the full set actually reduced some of the vibrations. Go figure.

My guess would also be that the aftermarket OEM equivalent mounts may not even last as long as the originals. You may be best served by getting another set of Toyota branded mounts and you should be good for at least another 80k if you even keep the car that long.

Thanks for the info. From my experience aftermarket OEM replacement mounts have always been horrible. Comparing prices, the energy press in inserts are $60 vs the $200+ for OEM mounts. I might try running the energy mounts and if the vibrations are too much I'll probably swap them all back to OEM except the dreaded rear mount haha, thoughts?

I don't know if the engine mounts changed between '07 and '09 but I am still on the original OEMs at almost 200k miles with no vibration issues.

I'll compare the OEM part numbers and check

When I bought this around 80k the rear mount was already torn, the engine flops around like crazy. No idea how the PO drove this thing

Amazon had a price glitch and I scored the energy suspension mounts for $20. For the price it's definitely worth trying. If the vibrations are too much I'll leave the rear mount in and replace the other 3 back to OEM
