so as you guys may know from my recent posts im going full exhaust... my question is due to change in back pressure, will i be gaining or loseing HP.... keep in mind im putting on a HF cat and resonator.
yes they do. proved it tonight when i raced my friend and he has stage 3 racing clutch intake and straight through header back exhaust. no cats and no resonators. raspy as hell. im faster and have a lot more low end power.
if your running header back i would get a 2.5" s pipe and any axle back and keep the factory midpipe and just add a resonator, thats what i did. if your just gonna be running a cat back or an s pipe back exhaust 2.5" should be fine. if your going to boost then u will be set and if not you still should be fine running a 2.5" but like i said. header back best to go with 2.25" midpipe. (FACTORY) cheapest<<<<

that....and there no rasp anymore at all.
^yes you will gain some power but N/A do not back fire. well if your exhaust stops after the midpipe then yes, but you don't have any back pressure so your still losing power than factory amd N/A only baffles.
im telling u dude if your gonna be running a header back exhaust use the factory midpipe. u already have one and its 2.25 and u just add the aero in. with weapon r or tsudo header u have no rasp. sounds real good. used to run it. if your running a catback, a 2.5" mid pipe is fine. even putting on a dif midpipe your arent really gonna be feeling much of dif from just having the tanabe on with the factory midpipe. im telling u. if any dif its very very lil. only thing you are accomplishing is spending money u dont have to and making your exhaust louder. if u run a header back 2.5" u will be losing hp on n/a bottom line. the tanabe piping is 2.5" just get a header and run factory midpipe or get the tsudo midpipe and run a catback. there will be no dif running a header back exhaust with the megan 2.25" midpipe with 2 big resonators from running header back with the factory midpipe with just the aero25 added in between the 2nd cat and the factory resonator ur just wasting money that could be going towards something else.
i cut into mine dude. i will post pics and vids of mine if u want to see it and hear it. and with the header its a lot louder dude. even with factory midpipe on mine with cat and 2 resonators its louder than my g/fs megan drift spec with 1 lil resonator in it. the header def makes it louder.
