Default Quick question on motor mounts

ok so this is probably my first post but ive been here for awhile and always search around the forums, i searched for motor mounts today and couldnt find any prices or aftermarket motor mounts that were in production, i have a 2006 tc with like 16,000 miles and was comin back from the mall today when it started clunkin in the lower gears during shifting when torque was applyed to the motor, messed around with it a lil bit and figured out it was a motor mount and i was wondering if anyone knows any companys that have motor mounts out now and prices and also if anyone knows prices from dealerships, thanks alot

check out the engine dampers. solid motor mounts tend to brake stuff due to the lack of any movement. the damper will alow travel but slows it down and will do just what you are looking for.

also try searching the suspension section.

as of now - no. there are 2 companies comming out w/ them but they arent out yet. go to the dealer and get yours replaced under warranty and next year get an aftermarket set.

You could also modify your stock ones like they do in Sport Compact Car Magazine, they use 3M window adhesive and fill the voids in the stock motor mounts, check out the lastest issue theres an article in there on exactly how to do it.
