i have the hks muffler with custom piping, and my headers made it raspy.
my friend has injen cai, dc sports headers, and the same exhaust as me and his is pretty raspy too.
so, ya, your gonna be raspy lol.
but youll notice more pull.

a resonator is a piece of piping with sound absorbing properties to reduce noise. to put one on, they would have measure the resonator. cut a section of your mid-pipe and weld the resonator inplace.

actually it's not the header, it's the exhaust that made the rasp...not enough sound insulation to supress the sound now coming out...
You will need an 18-20" resonator to eliminate that rasp...or minimize it...the CAI will not have any effect on the rasp though...it gives the sound more out of the actual engine bay than anything

I got a secret weapon against rasp sitting at home, it is "guaranteed" to eliminate rasp. I am getting it put on on friday. I will update you guys. And i have a dc 4-2-1 header, so it should be comparable. DC doesn't really make a 4-2-1 header but i'll just call it that for simplicities sake.

Belive it or not the rasp doesn't come directly from the header. The header is what causes it, but rasp is produced IN the midpipe. I have done a TON of research to see how to get rid off the rasp by finding out exactly what causes it.

Oh, and no, it's not sound absorbing wrap, really guys i'm not gonna say until it's on, just wait til tomorrow afternoon. And if it works, i will tell you every little detail about it, and if it doesn't work, i will tell you to beware and not to buy it.

I will definately be watching for your results... as I have just recently installed a Megan racing header on my 06 tC and noticed a substanial rasp during acceleration.
I'm running an Injen CAI and an Injen CAT back SES exhaust. and would love to "tame" the rasp while still gaining the benefits of the header
