Replacement Cold Air Intake filter recommendations
That may be true but a car mag did some testing and the Apexi out performed all the others tested for least amount of particulate getting through the filter media, Blitz stainless was worst should have seen the pile of test stuff that it passed along to the motor.

yes but I dont think the injen is a 3" at the CAI intake pipe...dunno though but i could be wrong. i was also looking at the Apexi one but they dont make a small enough size filter to attach to my TRD CAI...i think the filter opening that hooks up to the pipe is only 2.5" for TRD and the smallest Apexi filter is sized at 2.75"
but like said above, the blitz and hks filters really did surprise me...perhaps they really are just selling brand now-a-days rather than finest quality parts...

If the filters arnt very dirty you arnt suppose to get a new one. Get a cleaner kit and clean them and oil them. A broken in filter is a better filter than a clean one.
Anything that will fit the pipe will do, these aren't race cars. You'll never notice the 1/2 hp change from filter to filter. And the engine will run just fine if a few microns of extra "dirt" run through it.
