Default Resonator setup question

ok so just yesterday I got a second resonator put in because of the rasp my header puts out. Now it was big enough to where there was no room to put it (probly a 26 inch) because my other magnaflow resonator was in the only other workable spot. Now what the guy did was literally weld one onto the other. Now my question is...

Do resonators need to be more spread out along the midpipe in order to get decent flow? does having them literally side by side kill the exhaust flow to the point where performance is affected?

No, as long as your resonators are at least 2.25" core diameter and the core is perforated and not louvered, welding them together won't affect flow or performance.

Btw, how big are your resonators and is your rasp under control?

I have a 22 inch magnaflow resonator and I just got some big ___ one put on yesterday from the muffler shop I took my car to. Yes it did get rid of the rasp, however I think it may be a bit much because it silenced everything so much that it took alot out of the actual sound the exhaust provides. In other words I am debating if its a bit TOO quiet. I am going to have a friend drive it so I can hear the car from the outside.

so you have a magnaflow 22" res but what brand is the other one and size? Just curious because I would love to be able to put my header back on without being embarrassed by the sound.

to be honest dude I am not sure. He just had a huge stock of resonators and pulled this big azz one out. Ya right now My exhaust sounds completely raspless but both the resonators combined muffled everything so much that its a bit TOO quiet for my taste. I like a nice grunble when I get on it, which I have just quiet. My intake actually drowns out my exhaust a bit right now. Hopefully me slapping my invidia s-pipe on will put it where I like it to be.

the s-pipe should make it slightly louder, i noticed it got louder before I put my header in... then after the header it was loud. No resonators here though... those are for girls.
