Default rev limiter ?

Is there one on the 08's. If there is, is it adjustable?

yes, pretty much all cars have a rev limiter or fuel cut off, and you can remove it, probably with a piggyback ecu, and if you do, there is a very good chance you will f-up your engine.

is there a particular reason why you want to raise the rev limiter?

uhm...you make your peak horsepower at 6000 rpms, which means that is where you want to shift, having the rev limitor set at 6100 rpms means that...you'll end up bouncing off the rev limitor and screwing yourself if you shift even a moment too late.
