Has anyone done the rippmod cams and if so how are they?

 

not alot of people have them, one they are expensive, and two, they are more expensive to install, but they are a worthwhile investment if you really want more power out of the supercharger.

 

do they give the car that aggressive sound that most cams do?

 

does the sound really matter? you can get an aggressive sound from exhaust set ups. why spend all the money on cams for aggressive sound. you looking for performance with something like that.

cams can change the sound of engines because some cars with very aggressive cams like race cars and such have really rough idles.

yeah, that aggressive muscle car sound is the sound of the crappy inefficient idle that comes with really aggressive cam designs.

anyway, we have vvt-i, so at lower rpms and such, it isn't as aggressive, and then it gets more aggressive as it needs to.

you just want sound, get a glasspack or something. gets you at a much lower price.

 

we dont have a muscle car. turbo the car so that you get the BOV sound instead. muscle cars do cams. tuners do turbos.

 

well i already ordered my turbo so i though i could try and get the best of both worlds

 

look into a return system man.... that way you maximize what you get out of the injectors ..... or look into forged internals ... thats what you should do to maximize the HP/TQ of your car.

plus they are expensive why worry about them ... spend the money on something thats more practical

icenine has these cams. he hasnt posted in a year or so. i talked to him on yahoo. he was thinking about selling the tc.not sure who else has em. you could always call u brian crower to do em in san diego.

 

Those cams are for supercharger and maybe turbo app. Don't go wasting money if you don't know what you need.
