rpm's too high in 5th gear on freeway?
im at about 4,000 rpm @ about 90-95mph in 5th gear. this scares me cause it seems really high. when im merging onto the freeway should i be shifting at high or low rpms to keep 5th gear low on the freeway? and also.. is there a chip or some way to stretch out my gears? or at least 4th and 5th?
1. Why are you driving 90-95 on the freeway?
2. The RPM range in 5th gear at a normal highway speeds is fine and in line with many cars I've driven in the past.
3. There is no way to "stretch out" your gears without physically changing the gears in the transmission.
