Running very lean- anyone else?
Ok, so my tC is stock & I've felt like it's lagging compared to a year ago. I decided to do a tune up & when I changed the plugs found the second one to be very white & the fourth one whiter than it should be. One and three were fine.
Anyone else had any problems with their tC running lean like this? There's so many possibilities for what it could be...

havn't changed my plugs yet, does seem like it has a little less power but I havn't had my but dyno calibrated in a while!! I still seem to smoke everything I go up against. so I don't think my car has actually lost power I just think the novelty has worn of a little.
Just rolled over on 16,000. Oil changes at 3-4K. Every tech I've asked has said they haven't had any tCs come in running lean, or with any motor problems for that matter.
Right now I'm thinking clogged injector. Easy fix if it is- I'll add a bottle of hi-powered cleaner with my next tank of gas & see if that does it. Unless someone else has other ideas..

hmm if the tC was running lean, wouldnt that mean it would be making more power?
I doubt the car is running lean, if it was, i would say something is very wrong with your injectors or your fuel pump, but even in that case, the MAF would restrict the airflow. I would say something is wrong with your MAF.

Also, I had the car scanned & there were no codes- although the tech didn't do a thorough job...
If you've ever almost run your car out of gas, the car will cut out, almost like you've hit a rev limiter, because of lack of fuel. On some days when it's running really bad, that's almost how it feels.
The way I'm thinking is that if it were a sensor, all 4 cylinders would be same across the board- not one very lean, one a little lean, and the other two fine. And hopefully a sensor issue would've come up on the scanner.
