S-afc II ?
hey i have a quick question about using the s-afcII in the tC...does anyone know what the sensor number should be when you have it installed? i tried a few different numbers but couldn't get the right one then i ended up throwing a CEL. anyways i was just wondering if anyone out there might know or have one installed on their car.
sensor number? u sure u hooked up the wires right....
It should be the same as the xb was search for it in the xb forum I posted it there I think or somone else did back in the day when we were first installing them in our xb's

I'm pretty sure I have the wires hooked up right. The sensor number I'm talking about is when you do the setup for the s-afcII. it says sensor type....hotwire/flap/pressure/karman.
So I hook it up using the karman setup then right? i tried that before and the car ran really bad. it sputtered and ran really rich. maybe i'm cutting into the wrong a/f wire. do you know whcih one to be exact then?
I have the same problem as you. I checked my wiring 3 times and tuned the thing 3 times two. The same thing happens all the time. CEL,CEL,and CEL. My tC would not shift into 2nd gear and it would not go over 2000 rpm it would stall. So, if you have fixed your problem let me know.
I couldn't figure out what setting to use either so I ended up giving up on it. I tried pretty much every setting on it with no luck. someone told me to try hotwire 01-01 on toyotanation but i already pulled it out by then. maybe it mite work
was going to through it on my tc but at the last min. we decided a turbo grand prix gtp would be cool so its on that project car now
it realy seems like the unichip is what were going to have to do since the ecu wont be able to correct that but well see what Sound performance has to show when they finish there turbo tc im sure with the piles of 1k hp supras they have bulit they might have learned a thing or 2 about toyota ecu's or rahter wired up alot of stand alones lol
but im sure they will get our comunity some info

same thing has happen with the camcon to there is no safe route except poslby the unichip since it modiffy out put of the ecu rather then the input

Sorry to have to correct you but ever since I tuned my car with the camcon I havent thrown a cell. I dont have any antifoulers or anything other than one high flow cat and one stock resonator everything else is just peachy I have a turbo and I havent thrown a cell in over 2 months now. CAMCON blows for turbo tc's it only helps on A/F settings for the record. CAmcon has really helped me in terms of controller my A/F other than that its worthles to me.

unvdistc had a comcon for a while on his tc and it ended up throwing a cel after like 2-3 months and was correcting for the fuel and timing adjustments
i know there were atleast 2 other reports of this but he is the only whos name i know
Would reseting your ecu bring its fuel maps back to square one? If so you'd just have to reset evey once and a while.
I have a camcon I will be installing and will be using it barring problems through next years rebuild with HC pistns and P+P, so you guys will get some in depth posts from me.

I got my SAFC II to work today and man does it feel like another car. Once its at 4800 rpm under full throtle the car takes off. I did a whole write up at yoursciontc.com on how I got mine to work and how to install it.
