Default S/C Piggyback

I have a trd s/c and want to get a piggyback. I am not sure of what type or anything about them. If anyone could suggest any or give me any information on then would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Piggyback to do what? The purpose of a piggyback is to tune the vehicle, unless you have a lot of mods that need a true custom tune, you'll simply be wasting money. Read the forums for more information on how to make more power instead of buying expensive parts that won't help you.

Well I'm going to get headers, intake, pulley and a new exhaust. I heard they give you a good increase in power

like he said..piggyback is unnecessary.

From your list, get the pulley and the header. MMW header will net 21whp on an S/C , expect less from the other vendors. Pulley, yes. Exhaust? for the 2-3hp, not worth it, and once you put the header on expect tons of rasp if you go with an aftermarket exhaust...so keep it stock. It's really not worth it.

Been there, done that. And yes, I had it dyno'd after install on a dyno dynamics. anyone who gives you their opinion on power "feel" without measurement is wasting your time.

Ok. I heard chopping and will add somewhat of slot of horsepower. So your saying no piggyback? And did you have a mmw header with s/c and TRD axleback exhaust?

You mean chipping? You can't chip cars these days, you can tune them via the ECM or a system such as AEM's. You will not need these for your mods. I highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest you read the forum. There is an ENTIRE FORUM section dedicated here to forced induction that you need to read and can help you. I only say this because every few weeks you go on a whim and make a thread because you heard someone tell you something wrong. Educate yourself and spend the money wisely.

Yes, I had all of the above...with a resonator. Once I put the header on the exhaust note was disgusting. And really...for 2-3whp? Not noticeable.

Lay off the cheeseburgers and french fries and you will see the same difference.

So i took the exhaust back to stock and left the header on.

Unichip EMS is the only 'piggyback' system that plays well with the TRD S/C reflash of your ECU, plus it comes pretuned for your build and can be better tuned later. In other words, it's plug and play.
