So search is giving me mainly header and s pipe combos, Im looking to install an s-pipe everywhere says 10-16hp, but im guessing thats bs. Does anyone know what kind of numbers I can truly expect from a say 2.25-2.5in s-pipe.

those ratings would be at the block not at the wheels as well

 

i figured, im just trying to see if it is worth the money, only benefit i can see is it will flow better when Im spraying but otherwise im not seeing benefits

 

I would say more noise gains than anything... Slight increase in the butt dyno, but I would say noise...

 

so all in all not worth 170 bucks?

the more Im seeing its not worth it unless your turbo and need the extra flow

 

either that or you have midpipe exhaust and headers, s-pipe being the missing link haha.


anyone have a stock midpipe, axelback exhaust and s-pipe? curious is this would do any benefit

so if you dont have an aftermarket midpipe, its definitly not worth the money right?

 

The stock one isn't horrible...but if your doing all the rest of the exhaust, then I'm sure it'll help as it wont bottleneck the system. Surely not 16hp, but probably at least 5

 

I have the skunk2 s-pipe back and the invidia s-pipe and it was worth it to me... I definently noticed the s-pipe with my butt dyno...

I dont even think i paid that much for my nvidia spipe. maybe like 120? I dont remember but it wasnt that much at all and it was definently worth it.

 

my megan s pipe was a good addition to my drift spec, some low end torque back and some top end power as well. noise is the same

 

No...trust me, the stock s-pipe is one of the most restrictive parts in your exhaust system, so sloppy, its not even the same measurements from beginning to end, anybody that has held one in their hands know what I am talking about, its worth it.....

 

Now, which is better for a turbo,

Megan or Indivia?

 

Invidia, I think the Megan is almost 2.5", but not quite.
