Default S-PIPE help?

ive been wondering about getting an S-pipe for my Tc... i have injen CAI, DC race headers, and Injen catback exhaust. My question is to S pipe owners... does installing a 2.5" s-pipe make a difference in performance(8 - 12hp is a difference to me). wouldnt it be better to get a mid pipe too. because i dont understand the concept of making the s-pipe better when its just gonna be restrictive on the mid pipe anyways. or changing just the S-pipe alone will help in performance...

any feedback would be good, but i would like to know from S pipe owners...
thanks

it should release a few more horses, maybe 4 or 5.
of course getting a new midpipe will help, maybe releasing another 4-5 hp.

Obviously, the more you upgrade, the more power youll have.
If having a restrictive midpipe was that bad, no one would just replace the headers.

supposely the s-pipe is the most restrictive piece of the exhaust. though its short in length, your only getting maybe 1-3 hp. the idea of using the the s-pipe is to completely release the rest of the flow in the exhaust.

i do suggest getting the mid-pipe done too including a resonator. but doing just that and not changing the axelback your gonna get raspy noises. and changing the header without axelback is even worse.

if your not getting an aftermarket header, then grabbing any axelback exhaust should not be a problem as far as rasp.

and with midpip and spipe done, your probably getting 4-8hp total.....

right now you have a pretty good set up...and a s-pipe would do alot for you. a s-pipe makes the same amount of HP that an axle back has.. so your lookin at minimal gains, but you do get some. plus its only like 100 bux.

also the stock midpipe isnt restrictive...its 2.25 inch MANDREL bent, so thats actually really good for a "stock" car. however you can upgrade to a 2.5 inch MANDREL bent midpipe...and you would be bangin

however, DO NOT, think your are upgrading if you were to have a muffler shop do a 2.5 inch crush bent mid pipe...that will be a downgrade..and you will lose HP and MPG

also... a bigger midipipe will gain some MPG as well, and you want to keep your cat, and get a bigger resonator... and im sayin to keep the cat, cuz it gives you some low end torque, and you want to get a larger resonator..to keep the rasp away

Change it! It's worth it, when you see the stock pipe compared to the aftermarket you or anybody will know it's holding back the performance. 8-12hp, probably not but maybe on a stock header and exhaust.
