Yeah, they call it redline for a reason. Hope you like rebuilds. That's assuming that you get to keep the car after they pull you over doing 130 on public streets, and that you don't kill yourself or someone else before they do.

EDIT:
Sorry, just realized this is not your car. Still, it's stupid.

I can tell that most of you guys have never driven a front wheel drive car with alot of power... even though the car is on the limiter, you still have to wait until the car gains more traction before you shift, or else it will bog down in the next gear.

It sounded to me like the driver was on the limiter and feathering the gas to get traction, which like I said is the correct thing to do.

He was pumping the gas not hitting rev limiter. He did hit rev limiter a few times but Im sure its a little hard not to bounce the limiter every now and then. The dyno graphs show that the power is made all the way to redline.
It seems like most of that spinning could be solved with an LSD system.

It doesnt seem to spin THAT much when boosting in just 2nd gear. Most of the spinning is boosting through 1st and then slamming 2nd gear causeing the wheels to spin somewhat......then boost takes over and spins them a lot.

Every car does this. If it has power or not.

regardless of driving technique im a firm believer that slamming the rev limiter like he did just cant be a good thing for the car

Turbo charging a car like that isn't really "good" for it either. If you've ever driven a FWD car that was boosted like that you'd know how easy it is to bounce off the limiter like that... especially if you're trying to accellerate quickly from a dead stop. Anyone whose ******* on the guy about hitting the rev limiter like that is eitehr a.) jealous of the car or b.) not nearly experienced enough with dragracing FWD cars with moderately high HP.

I thought the video was awesome... I can't wait until Greddy releases their kit.

The rev limiter is there to keep from hurting the car and the factory ALWAYS sets them conservativley
