Hey, sorry I can't help... but I'm thinking of getting the Weapon R SW intake as well. When you install, could you post some pics of it installed? And, also let us know how your tc perfoms with the intake!

Thanks!

I'm gonna be installing mine in a couple days also. If someone could post some pics for this part of the install that would be great. Seems like this question has been asked a few times, must not be explained very well in the instructions. Thanks ahead of time.

i mounted mine to the front of the intake and to the second hole where the stock box was located, you have to use one of the clamps that came in the kit. on the bracket there are holes on one side and a lip on the other, put the bracket lip around the clamp and tighten it to the front of the intake. then bend the bracket to fit and tighten it down. hope this helps a little

Hope these help. You have to bend the bracket some to get it to fit.

I just did my WR SW intake install yesterday and everything went great. The whole install only took a hour at most, I was taking my time also. I ended up mounting my bracket in a different spot with the supplied hardware. I took a few pics.

I made a 90 degree bend in the bracket 3 inchs down from the top and the hooked it under the strap connecting the filter

I screwed rubber mounting bolt thing (tech term) into the bolt hole closest to the motor from one of the factory airbox bolts. Then I connected the backet to that using the lock nut and washer.

This makes for a really nice install. I took a bunch of Pic's so I'll soon try to make up a quick how to. Hopefully this helps people with this install.

Swanny, has yours' thrown a CEL yet? Just wondering if you got one of the newer intakes where the problem was fixed.

No problems here. Mine is one of the newer intakes. I think the CEL problem with this intake is a thing of the past. The intake really makes the tc pull harder in the higher rpm ranges. Sounds awesome with the TRD exhaust also.

My Weapon R will be here on Wednesday. What are you talking about when you refer to the cells.

It doesnt come with instructions? I am about to purchase it and would really like some detailed instructions and pictures specific to the tC? And p.s. how can you tell if its the new one or old one?

Ok I got my intake, stupid UPS delivered it to the wrong address. Anyways,, it does come with instructions, but they are very vague, and its a Xerox copy, and half of it is faded. didn't make a good copy i guess.

But anyways, i can't wait for that 'How to' for this intake, i'm hoping that Swanny can get it in before my spring break

I can't wait, i'm hoping that it will make a difference even though i just have the stock exhaust and an auto.

oh, any of you know how much improvements the Ram Air Intake Kit will add to the SW intake?
