Default In serious need of help with Tranmission

I've just replace the clutch and flywheel, and i'm having a killer time putting the tranny back on. I'm using a tranny jack and for some reason I can't get it straight enough to stab it back to the engine. I still have the subframe installed I don't know if it would help to remove it. Anybody have any tips.

make sure all the guide pins are in the right place, also, having a second pair of hands always helps, and make sure the clutch was properly aligned with a clutch alignment tool.

Yes I made sure the clutch was perfectly aligned. Its just getting the tranny level enough to get back to where I can bolt it back on. I'll try again tomorrow.

if you can lower the engine down a bit more you should be able to get enough room to line the trans back up. its been a while since ive put a trans in a tC, but i do beleive the trans mount might be hangin you up a bit too. but, these are just speculations.

The motor definatley needs to be at an angle....should be sagging down a bit to get the tranny to pop on...if its str8 it would take you for ever to get the tranny on.....especially alone....grab a friend

Thanks for the tip i'm still messing with it but i took a break. But I will try angle the engine down more. The last time I tried there was 2-3 inches till it hit the engine and it would not move. I'll try again this weekend

Another question... I got the Exedy Stage 1 clutch kit and when I was installing the throwout bearing, I greased it with the supplied grease but it didn't slide on the shaft smoothly. I was wondering if it was suppose to do that. After installing the fork, I can't really move it by hand. Just wondering if that's the way its suppose to be
