Check http://www.levelten.com/ they have upgrades, and I think for some trans they have a sequential shifter. Also, the gen 2 xb has a shiftronic auto, probably wouldn't work with our ecu though.

a shift kit for an auto is a term from the musclecar world... it's usually a set of small springs and other parts that go into your auto for higher efficiency and less slippage on the internal clutches, usually at the cost of harder firmer shifts even at low speeds... kinda comparable and similar to an upgrade to a better clutch and flywheel for a stick shift...

alright you definitely need to search more. But here's a decent ans:
The tC uses solenoids to control the shift points and "speed" of shifts. The ECU modulates these to smooth out shifts. Your average "shift kit" from say Level10, IPT or even ZPI(like mine) Changes these solenoids and other crap in the valvebody to quicken the shifts, and change when the trans shifts.

I love my ZPI valvebody, even though i was not a fan of how the company went.(bought it second hand)

But making any REAL power on a Auto t/C is very hard. Really its hard on any Auto....
