Default should i switch octanes??

ok so ive been using 89 octane ever since i got my tc and ive been thinking of going down to 87 octane because of the rising prices on pretty much EVERYTHING haha and those couple bucks i save if i switch can buy me an in n out burger or sumthin
now my question is.. if i switch am i going to feel ANY kind of difference at all in the performance of my engine or is there like no change at all?? ...and yes i did serch..

There is absolutely no reason you should be using 89 in the first place. Save yourself some money and switch.

Are you boosted? If not, anything over 87 is a complete and total waste of money.

Why did you start out with 89 octane in the first place?

You actually need to go up a grade, not down.

93 FTW.

Theres been NO reason for you to be on 89 octane, your simply wasting money.

However at the way the gas pricing scale is (generally) you'll save about 10 cents per gallon, but won't truly see a change until 10 gallons or more.

x2... the octane is not gonna make that much of a difference...at most you might notice an increase of 5-10 miles more per tank...and that would be generous

im pretty sure factory gives up the lowest grade 87? and it felt like ****...after i upgrade it to premium it was a lot smoother also gained 2.5mpg.

in the long run is replacing your engine cuz its knocking worth the 20 cents per gallon now?

unless you are running forced induction...87 octane is not gonna cause "knock"...

okay this subject has been talked about for ages. There plenty of other threads about this, if you want some insight and other people's opinions use the search option. Other than that lets not waste space. (=
