Default Skunk2 dB

I've asked this on several threads but have not received a definite response. If anyone here owns a Skunk2 Catback, knows someone that owns it, or even heard it at a meet/show/whatever, can they please tell me how loud it is in relation to stock and other catbacks (ex: Tanabe, HKS, etc.). I would really appreciate it, thanks...

Just in care anyone else is interested, I wrote to skunk2 tech support and was informed that it meets all carb noise requirements. That's great because I know carb is rather strict, now if anyone can tell me what the carb dB limit is, just out of curiosity...

CARB doesn't regulate noise, they just deal with emissions. The CA Bureau of Automotive Repair sets and enforces the sound limit of 95 dBA, but they only test and certify exhausts on an individual basis only. However there are many states that have lower standards, even as low as 85 dB. Being in Florida, I doubt you have a problem, but check your local laws before assuming it's OK just because it's OK in California.

Well to be honest, you guys have just about the stringent laws thats why I am "assuming". No states dB noise is at 85, there may be areas such as parks, recreation areas, or parts of town that may be lower than the state's official requirements but 85 is way too low to be enforced on state level. That is not my concern though, FL is lenient in that regard, I just don't want an overly loud exhaust but love the Skunk2...
