the mounting brackets reduce the vibration cause by the motor movement so yea you will need that, dont want any damage, heat shield you really dont need, but then again its there for a reason,if you dont have the brackets im sure some shop can do some kind of custom ones for you and bolt it up on there

Agreed about the black crossmember. That caused my tsudo midpipe to rattle. That bolt people talk about has nothing to do with it but the OP said ge didn't put it back on so I guess it's different. If you wanted the performance still, I would just put a high flow cat on the mid, but that's extra money you don't want to spend.

best bet is the junk yard,i wouldnt do the stealership unless you absolute have too, most likely youll have to buy the whole header just to get that bracket from them, but your not using that bracket with the dc header now,and you dont have any damage, correct, the only reason why u wanna take off the header cause its to loud and raspy, due to take off the midpipe, unless you spend extra $$$$ and get a hi-flow cat or resantor welded in,or take out the stock tsudo one and replace it with something better

To kill rasp with a header - install 1 aero 25 resonator and 1 vibrant ultraquiet resonator - Rasp? No more

so ever since i put the stock headers back on my cel was on so i scanned it and got error code p0037 and p0420 sooo now im thinking about reinstalling the the dc headers and popping on the two resonators timmertc suggested but i have 2 questions ...1)will the cel clear when i put the nonfouler and headers back? and 2) should i install 2 resonators or a resonator and a high-flow cat?

ps i really dont want the car to sound like a little airplane lol b.c i find some of the set up to sound like that here is an example...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk7zxIb-T20&NR=1

i think resonators work better then hi-flow cats do as far as killing the rasp sound, its hard to pass inspection without a cat, unless you put it back on stock before or if you know someone that will pass for you,but then again it all comes down the cel...the setup you had before the stock header, you had no cel correct,i dont see it being any different,as far as the cel being on with the anti fouler trick.....

I have header + full exhaust and my Aero AR25 resonator worked perfectly and getting rid of that horrible rasp. Also used the "L" shaped adapter for the anti-foul and no cel ever ova here.

^^Agreed.

Sell the TuRD exhaust...

I had that same issue with rasp from the TRD exhaust. I sold it and got a Magnaflow, no rasp!

*I have MMW heads + S-Pipe + stock mid-pipe and resonator. I love it!
