Default Soft/Stuck clutch while braking?

Hey all. So I'm running a 2008 tC with an ACT TY4-HDG6 Clutch.

(And before anyone asks, yes I did do some searching pre-post, but it wasn't exactly the problem I'm having)

So anyways, the other day while I was driving I noticed that whenever I was braking slightly hard, the clutch would feel a lot softer (and have more distance pushing it before it felt like it was doing anything) to shift. It still disengaged from the engine fine, and I thought nothing of it. Later though, at highway speed, I was slowing down, and again it felt pretty soft, but in this case it just stayed on the floor. In neutral I pulled it up with my foot and it was fine after that. Since then, it seems like my clutch is a lot softer while doing moderate/heavy braking (BUT fine otherwise, like when accelerating), and has stuck a little bit once while at a stop holding the brakes.

I've tried bleeding the clutch through the slave, but the problem persists. From what I've read and people I've talked to, it's seeming to be either the master or slave clutch cylinder(s). Is there any way to determine which it is, or am I better off just replacing both parts (and is there any specific brand that's best for these parts?)?

EDIT: Also worth mentioning that I don't see any leaks from the slave, and the reservoir is as full as always (I don't know exactly where to check for potential master leaks though)

Sound like your Master Cylinder is bad. The fluid is probably bypassing the seals inside the cylinder. Sometimes, if you climb under the dashboard and use a flashlight, Look real careful at the clutch rod going into the MC, there may be a slight amount of fluid leaking there. One other think to look at, mind you, I just found this on an integra and my TC is auto, so I really don't know the setup, But, where the MC for the Clutch was mounted to the fire wall, every time the guy pushed his clutch, the MC moved also. Looked under dash and One nut was completely gone and the other was halfway off. Other than that, you said you bled the Slave, Did you bleed the MC? Did you remove it and bench bleed it?

Master and/or Slave seal is going. Same thing happened to me. Drove it like that for a few months, and BAM! Slave blew out (luckily I was only 1/4 mile from a shop and was able to limp it over there in 1st). Turned out that the Master seal was also on it's last leg, giving the pedal a very mushy feel to it even after replacing the slave. Replace both ASAP and save yourself the headache of getting stuck somewhere on the road. OEM should be fine, but I think there are upgraded ones also. Check out Dezod's site (I think they have them).

Yeah, I haven't posted here in a while, but a couple days after I posted that first message, I just ended up replacing both master and slave (figured I'd replace it all to get rid of any doubt), and it's been working fine ever since. Thanks for the help/info though.

Funny. Mine just blew out again tonight. Gotta try to replace them in the morning and hopefully make it to work on time. Thankfully I have replacements on hand.
