Default someone please explain air/fuel ratios to me

ok im a total noob when it comes to this stuff but im doing my research and preparing.

lets start with the basic questions:
what should the afr be at idle, under throttle, and WOT?
im assuming the measurement is parts air to fuel.

i have FUTURE plans for either p-tunning or dezod's turbo kits. no matter which way i go i will need FIC in the end. i was thinking about buying the AEM F/IC before the turbo install (maybe save a few bucks and just have them send me the map settings)

if i buy the FIC system before forced induction, will it give me any beneficial torque or power increases? id like to buy it, install it, and play around with it a bit before i go FI. at that point i will download new maps onto my lappy and load them into the FIC.

does the AEM F/IC allow for adjustments on the vvt-i? i know its not v-tec (crap) but its what we have...

i kinda wanna pre-tune it and play with it before going full force TC.

i plan on getting the F/IC with a wideband a/f gauge to keep monitoring it while im driving around

is there an easy way (without a laptop) to like switch settings like the greddy? i plan on getting an apex'i avc-r boost controller so i want it to be easy to switch from a low 6psi boost for daily driving, and have it set for 8.5psi when going bumper to bumper.

lastly how big is the thing? trying to think to mounting points close to the ECU or OBD II (i have no clue how it hooks up but with a good install manual i can handle it). i see it has a 10ft USB cable so i can rout that into my glovebox where i punched out the ipod adapter for the pioneer adapter or go traditional and keep it in the glovebox.

so end result (maybe a year from now) will be a turbo kit with bigger injectors (nothing bigger then 650... assuming i can run stock fuel pump with 650-660cc injectors) all the turbo goodies, an apexi digital turbo controller, and AEM F/IC.

what i want while im waiting is the borla exhaust setup and the F/IC if its worth it and i can gain some HP increase.

reccomendations??

Idle - 14.7
Cruise - 14.7
Off throttle - ---
WOT - 11.0-11.5
Light accel (off boost) - 13.0-13.5
Light boost - 12.0-12.5

You'll gain no power at all using the F/IC without the turbo. You'll lose power if anything.

You can't tune a car without having the turbo on it.

It's small. I have mine mounted to the side of my ECU.

Just buy it now, mount it, leave it disconnected, get the turbo, bring the car to a shop to have it properly tuned.
