Default specific intake/exhaust ....

I bought a K&N intake from a local shop near my house and then when i was talking to someone about it, they metioned the fact that it would void my warranty, so i returned it, but the intake that scion wants everyone to buy is 440. i have no idea what to even do. also, some people mentioned just modding it the way i want and then removing them anytime i need warranty related work.

I dont think it will void your waranty. However if you have problems with your car and they prove it was your mod that caused it, I think your warranty is voided. Try searching for "void warranty" I know there are a bunch of threads that discuss this.

Nothing voids your warranty unless it is specifically stated in said warranty... and the only thing I know of stated in our warranty that says that is a turbo (at least, it's in mine). Anything else, they must PROVE that whatever you installed caused a problem in order for said problem to not be covered by said warranty.

There, I said it.

Nothing will void your warranty. And double what SF2K4 said about it not being covered if it causes the problem. And the TRD CAI (AEM intake rebadged) will also not be covered under your warranty if it causes a problem.
