need some help my car is sputtering almost evertime that i start my car, my boy thinks that since i went turbo it could be my spark plugs does anyone have an idea on wat it could be????????

From what I've heard (trying to help here) that you have to go one-step colder spark plugs when you're running a turbo. I don't have a lot of experience with turbo setups, but that's what I've heard.

I think you could do a search here, there was a thread I remember reading about turbos and plugs.

 

that's what my boy said to me and thats what im going to do but i just wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas because if its not the spark plugs then i dont no what it could be....but thanks anyways

spark plugs wont matter on start up.....check yuor tune, loose coupling, etc

 

Nothing loose but yeah it has a tune, the only thing is that when i got the tune we found out that the wastegate was broken, i just recieved a used one from ecko:thanks again by the way,in which im waiting for these gaskets that i ordered to come in

 

close it down... problem solved thanks anyways

 

you took the time to post - why not say what the solution was? Seems like posting the answer would be helpful for future tunes.

 

well people were sayin that it would not be the spark plugs, but altimatley it was the spark plugs, in terms of the waste gate it was the spring that was in there... it just didn't fit

 

so it was the spark plugs. did you have to go to a colder plug or the plugs you had were bad?

 

well the spark plugs that i had in(which where the stock spark plugs) where white, so i picked up the ngk colder spark plugs and it starts great with no sputter
