As I was putting the clutch in It sqeeked(I did it several times to make sure It wasan't my imagination! Pretty loud too....It can't be going bad already can it? Ok so i did some searching and appreantly the clutch is fine, its a link or something making the noise. We can grease it but itll eventually come back. Some people report it going away after a little while as well.

wow, i find it hilarious (and totally unacceptable) that a full 2 years after I was one of the original tc owners to complain about this issue, its still plaguing a high percentage of cars.

to give you something to look forward to: THEY WERE NEVER ABLE TO FIX MY SQUEAK, WHICH EVENTUALLY DEVELOPED INTO OTHER NOISES AS WELL.

I CURED THE SQUEAK WITH SOME WD-40 IN THE MASTER CYLINDER BOOT AND WHERE THE CLUTCH FORK IS.

I NOW HAVE A FAIRLY LOUD AND NASTY RASPY GRINDING SOUND WHENEVER I HAVE THE CLUTCH PEDAL DEPRESSED. WHEN I REV W/ THE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THERE IS A DISTINCT SCRATCHY RASP AT THE BEGINNING OF THE REV.

ALSO, WHEN I SHUT OFF THE CAR WITH THE PEDAL DEPRESSED (AKA. IN 1ST GEAR), IT MAKES THE SAME HORRIBLY RASPY SCRATCHY GRINDING NOISE AS THE ENGINE WINDS DOWN.

JUST SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT. AND NO, SCION WILL NEVER ADMIT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CLUTCH ASSEMBLY, NOR WILL THEY EVER HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT CAUSES THE NOISES. AND THEY TRY TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR THE LABOR TO DROP THE TRANS AND DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE.

GREAT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION/SERVICE, HUH?

Does the clutch sound similar to a duck quack?

I've went to the dealership 3-4 times regarding this problems and still no luck in finding out what it is.

The problem is that the squeaking is so random...I'd get to the dealership only to have the sound go away so the techs can't really diagnose it.

Yeah after reading through all the old threads it seems like greasing the clutch fork has the best chance of curing the noise.

when you push the clutch pedal does it directly move the clutch or is there maybe some other stuff happening? maybe linkage? maybe throwout bearing? maybe clutch fork? maybe pressure plate? maybe its just wear your pedal pivots?

Ive had this problem for about 2 years. A local shop told me that some clutches are just like that rite out of the box. No reason behind it. The noise doesnt mean theres something wrong with the clutch.
