Default Standalone Potential

For those of you who have been busy boosting and or supercharging and want more tunability and free power from their system.........We may have the answer for you. We are working in conunction with another local shop to get a fully functional AEM EMS ready to plug and play into the Scion tC. This means there will be tons of great tuning ability, no hic-ups or flukes that sometime occur with piggybacks.

If this pulls through, we will be offering it exclusively.

Not to mention, this will be part of our Stage II upgrade. [/quote]

How about a plug-n-play ECU to drop in for the N/A guys?

Time frame is TBD, depending on how well things go

Price, ball park $2100-2500 is a good estimate

I'd imagine you'd have to kill the VVTi or is it(EMS) able to handle this?

AEM EMS for TC? Prepair a bunch of newbies to blow their engine with it though. That thing can only be tuned well by real expirenced pros.

anyone can go out and buy the AEM EMS right now for thier car. AEM EMS has the PnP models which currently are not available for any scions, but they also make the universal EMS which if you have time, you can wire into your harness and boom have a full standalone.

Just like anyone could buy the Motec M4, the Autronic SMC, Electromotive TEC3, Haltech E8, etc etc etc etc. there are alot of options out there, just that the group right now is so young, next to none really NEED it yet.

^^^ True but if Dezod is working with AEM to get a base mapping and plug-n-play harness, that would be cool.

What about VVT-i?

True, however you can not purchase a universal unit from just anyone. They have to be a certified AEM tuner to be able to sell them. The unit we are thinking of dabbling into should control VVT-i as well. Lots still has to be worked out. This may not even evolve due to cost.

PnP with base maps does not mean one wouldn't have to tune it. Now a good tuning job costs around $500 + dyno time. That unit would be real cool to have though!
