Default Stock tC goes 15.566@87.28mph w/ vids and slip

Went to the track tonight at Gainesville. Great weather for racing, low humidity and temps around 50-55. Got 4 runs in. Best was time above, worse was a 17.038 after a bad launch and a few missed gears (lol, was ____ed at the launch and the fact I was losing to a f-350 dually diesel from like the early 90's). I have a video of the first run which ended up a 15.9 after bogging off the line, and the third run of the 15.566. Here's the timeslip scanned for the non believers. I can scan my other runs too if you wish. Best reaction time was a .018 and of course the .025 on the 15.5 run. I ran back in august and got a best of 15.9 with 2.4 60'er's cause traction was a _____. COMPLETE opposite tonight. Traction was good and I was having trouble catching off the line and bogging the engine with dumping the clutch. Decided to feather the clutch and got the 15.5. And I will apologize now for the quality of the film since it's on a cheap $90 mpeg4 camcorder from gateway. Also....my friend decided to stop filming before I got to the end of the runs (although you couldn't see the times anyways) 'cause it was his first time out to the track and didn't understand .

1st run of 15.9 with bogging (can hear a few people go.."ohhh")

And here's the 15.566 run. Looks slow....because that car ran a 9.9xx. LOL I was only like halfway down the track staring up looking at his 1/4 time....made me feel all small and insignificant, lol.

I was going to call BS because that car went WAY FASTER than 12.6 and you bogged out of the hole on that run as well.

Nice runs, you need to work on the consistancy now.

That's no problem. I only had 4 runs that night....finally getting it once. I was expecting traction loss problems like before, not catching it too well. Lol, threw me off and adjusted after a couple of runs. It was really busy that night I left about 10:30 and people were still in line to tech in . Probably so busy cause of the good weather, and being the last T&T of the season.

Ya, that's a good drive for me though. If I go during the winter months, it's usually OSW...but i've only been there a few times, and it wasn't even for my vehicle. I'll be saving for the S/C this winter along with building a full exhaust with a MMW header for when the track opens up in the spring :D

That is very nice to know that the tC's can bust out a 15.5.

It will be 50 degrees here in Texas soon.. Maybe i'll have the KnN Intake by then :D

108hp at the flywheel, approx. 2400lb curb weight, and aerodynamics of a brick.......don't think so. I'd say 17's, but i'm not sure since I've never seen a slip for one or one at the track.
