Ran a 14.336 tonight with the trd sc.
Will post the slip tommorow and will try to get the vid up as well. As the topic says, turned a 14.336 tonight and I am happy! I was hopeing to turn a 14.49X with the current mods. I was very suprised to turn this time! This time was on 18" wheels with not so great Falken 512 all season performance tires, 1/2 tank of gas, full interior, drink in the cup holder and my fat **** I am very happy with the car right now. With some good meats for tires, mabey an intake and cat back I hope to be at a 14 even, mabey get lucky and run a high 13 knowing how bad the stock airbox is and stock muffler.... Was a good night. Made 5 runs, won all 5. Exact times for the good run below. "yeah I know my r/t sucked on this run haha"
r/t = 0448
60' = 2.166
330 = 6.022
1/8th = 9.222
MPH = 79.45
1000' = 11.980
1/4 = 14.336
MPH = 96.20
Anyone that says the TRD sc is not worth it / is slow / feels like stock is full of crap and is politically motivated to say so or simply does not know what they are talking about. The trd vortech combo rocks! While my time is not super fast or awsome by any means, for the $2950 I paid for it, it is worth it's weight in gold! My time beat 4-5 of the srt-4's times at the track, stomped on the saturn redlines and chevy cobalts and beat allot of stuff it should not have. I had allot of people around the car asking what the heck I had in it, especially when I beat a brand new mustang gt's best time of 14.44X! which means they could have been bad drivers but who cares. A win is a win.

nice solid runs. I too would think that the sc with some tweaks & the right mod combinations should propel these cars quite easily into the 13 range ( given good traction, etc )...
thx for posting the numbers.

Running an NST pulley / megan header and s-pipe. That's it!

Will do. She is definitly not a drag car and I do not intend it to be. She will be 100% retired from track duty in the next few months as I will be competing in iasca sq comp with the car. She will be a heavy turd then, even moreso than now but still quick for a tc!

desertheat you are really putting down some great numbers, and you're 0-60 times with crappy rubber is also very impressive.
Keep up the good numbers, and keep representing the TRD SC!

Thanks man. The car is running great "knock on wood". Tc is a very hard car to launch and great times are all about how you run through 1st gear and second in it. Takes allot of practice. I am no expert or pro but learning how to drive this stupid drive by wire crap is hard. I like good old cable clutches, and cable tb. Fancy new stuff haha
