Default suggestions on upgrades

Soo, I'm taking my motor out of my '06 TC today to rebuild wut I hope is just my rod bearings, and in the process I'm lookin to change out some parts and make my car a bit faster but without turbo, nothin serious, I already have planned to get an exhaust and headers, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

If you're rebuilding the motor and wanting your tC to be faster without turbo I would change more than just the rod bearings. If I were you I would change all the bearings (main, thrust, rod) upgrade the connecting rods (BC, K-1, Manley), pistons to a higher compression 11:1 (JE, Wiseco, CP), ARP head studs, new head gasket. For the top half of the motor I would get your head P&P'd with a 3 angle valve job, oversized valves (BC, Manley, Ferrera + .5 or 1 mm), springs & retainers (BC, Manley), cams (BC 272's), some kind of engine management or piggy back to adjust AFR's (AEM, apexi, camcon). In order for you not to blow up everything you've done, make sure you get the car tuned properly. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but maybe this could be a start for you....

That would make your car slower.

Good luck with the rebuild, if you think the car has HEADERS for that one head, then you're in for a heck of a rebuild.

buy a few things like
1.new bearings (main, trust, rod)
2. oil pump
3. high comp pistons, if you want a cheap option go with camry hibrid pistons they are 12@1 comp ratio an are like 200 dollar for the 4 of them.
4. new head gasket
5. P&P jod (head)
6.Maybe some valve angles and +1mm oversized valves will net you noticesable power.
